More than a share price
There can be a perception that purchasing through a licensed or authorised syndicator simply costs more. The better question is what is disclosed, documented and accounted for. The paperwork can look daunting at first, but its purpose is to protect informed choice: helping you understand the opportunity, the costs, the risks, your rights and responsibilities, and where your money is intended to go before you commit. Thoroughbred Solutions will guide you through it in plain language.
Publicly offering racehorse syndicate interests is regulated. The advertised share price sits within an approved disclosure and application process.
The purchase price, establishment and management arrangements, anticipated ongoing costs and relevant inclusions are set out for review.
The documents explain the financial arrangements and how application money and ownership funds are to be handled, rather than presenting an unexplained lump sum.
Owners can understand their percentage, registration pathway, entitlements and responsibilities within the syndicate.
The promoter’s role, official application process and ongoing administration operate within an established financial-services and racing-industry framework.
Compare the structure, not just the price
Buying directly from a trainer is not automatically a poor choice, and some trainers use a licensed promoter or hold the necessary authorisation themselves. The important difference is the legal and administrative framework attached to the particular offer.
Thoroughbred Solutions is an Authorised Representative (No. 001296474) of Stable Connect Limited, AFSL 336964. ASIC’s horse-syndicate framework recognises co-regulation involving ASIC and participating racing authorities. Regulatory structure and disclosure do not remove the inherent risks of racehorse ownership or predict performance; they give owners a documented basis for making their decision. Always read the relevant approved PDS before applying.

Thoroughbred Solutions sources horses from major sales around Australia. Each prospect is assessed for pedigree, physical type, value and suitability, with independent veterinary checks completed as appropriate before syndication.
Yes. Our Find Your Horse service creates an initial shortlist from your budget, preferred share size, location and priorities. Nadia then reviews the shortlist personally and talks you through the most suitable opportunities.
Our current horses are trained in Victoria and South Australia, with a focus on metropolitan racing. Each horse page clearly identifies its trainer and training location.
Not at all. First-time owners are guided through the PDS, ownership structure, stable updates and race-day experience. Experienced owners receive the same direct, personal communication.
Flexible options designed to make ownership accessible without diminishing the experience.
Options are available from 1% on every horse. We advertise a clear 2.5% price on each horse page, with larger options including 5%, 10% and 20% displayed where available.
A 5% share guarantees your individual name in the racebook. Smaller interests are registered through a Thoroughbred Solutions syndicate. You remain a registered owner within that syndicate and receive access to applicable owner race-day tickets.
Yes. Tell us how you would like to participate and we can explain the suitable ownership and registration options before you apply.
A share is an ownership interest and may be capable of transfer or sale, subject to the applicable ownership agreement, outstanding obligations and regulatory requirements. The relevant PDS explains the process for that horse.
The share price is visible upfront. The approved PDS contains the complete legal cost information.
Unless stated otherwise, the featured price on the website is for a 2.5% share and includes GST. Each horse page also shows the prices for other commonly requested share sizes.
Ongoing costs vary by horse, ownership percentage and stage of preparation. The approved PDS for each horse explains the applicable estimates, fees, inclusions and owner obligations. Please rely on that document rather than a generic monthly figure.
The applicable management arrangements and fees are set out in each horse’s approved PDS. Review that information before submitting an application.
The payment process, trust arrangements and conditions applying to your application are explained in the relevant PDS and official application documents administered through the Stable Connect framework.
Training, spelling, veterinary and other costs can change as a horse moves through its preparation. The PDS explains the anticipated costs and obligations, while owners receive regular updates about the horse’s progress and plans.
Clear communication keeps owners close to the horse and the decisions around it.
Owners receive at least one video update per week while their horse is in work, a weekly Thoroughbred Solutions newsletter and regular updates at all other times.
Yes. Stable visits and open days form part of the Thoroughbred Solutions ownership experience, subject to trainer schedules, stable protocols and horse welfare requirements.
We help owners understand the race-day process and, where available, support them at the meeting. Applicable owner ticket and mounting-yard arrangements depend on the club, meeting and registered ownership structure.
Our responsibility to the horse extends beyond its racing career. Through our relationship with APEX Equine in the Adelaide Hills, we can support an appropriate transition into rehabilitation, retraining and a suitable next chapter. Read more on our Post-Racing Care page.
Yes. Owners have direct access to Thoroughbred Solutions for questions, updates and guidance throughout the journey.
Prizemoney, trophies, bonuses and other entitlements are handled according to the registered ownership structure and the terms described in the relevant PDS and ownership documents.
Every available horse has an approved Product Disclosure Statement and official application process.
The Product Disclosure Statement is the key legal document for the syndicate. It explains the horse, promoter, ownership structure, share price, fees, anticipated costs, risks and obligations so you can make an informed decision.
Publicly offering and promoting interests in racehorse syndicates is regulated—it is not simply a matter of posting a horse and a share price. The authorised framework replaces an informal transaction with documented disclosure and accountable administration. Before applying, you can see what you are buying, how the price and anticipated costs are structured, how funds are to be handled, the ownership arrangements, the risks and the responsibilities of each party. In Thoroughbred Solutions’ case, this activity is conducted as an Authorised Representative of Stable Connect Limited, which holds AFSL 336964.
Open the individual horse page and select the PDS or application button. This keeps the document and application connected to the exact horse and share opportunity you are considering.
Choose a horse, review its approved PDS and use the official application form linked from that horse’s page. If you would like help before applying, call Nadia on 0407 972 746.
